Air
and timber.
A tall, sunlit living room built around leather, plants and pale oak.

A room that feels open because every object has room to breathe.
With floor-to-ceiling windows and a generous ceiling height, this living room already had air. We added warmth: a tan leather sofa that will soften with age, pale oak tables with soft edges, and a layered rug that anchors the seating area.
Plants are treated as furniture rather than decoration — sculptural, placed where light is strongest and the eye needs a pause. A gallery wall of black-framed prints gives the room a quiet focal point without adding colour.

DESIGN DECISIONS
What shaped the design.
- Anchor the seating. A layered rug defines the conversation area in a tall room.
- Plants as furniture. Sculptural plants placed where light is strongest give pauses for the eye.
- A quiet focal point. A gallery wall in black frames adds structure without colour.
- Materials that age. Leather and oak improve with use.
