Warm
geometry.
A light-filled home where crisp lines are softened by natural finishes and tactile details.

An interior that holds the rhythm of the day, from the first light to a quiet evening.
The architecture here is confident and linear: a floating timber stair, tall glazing, black steel details. Our task was not to soften it into something else, but to make it comfortable to live in.
The palette stays calm — warm whites, oak and walnut, stone-grey upholstery — while texture does the work that colour would do elsewhere: a wool rug underfoot, linen at the windows, a low oak table that invites people to sit on the floor. Seating is arranged in a loose, conversational group so the room works for a quiet evening and for a full house.
Storage is resolved early and kept out of sight, which is what lets the geometry breathe.
DESIGN DECISIONS
What shaped the design.
- Let the staircase lead. The floating timber stair is the room’s sculpture, so furniture stays low and quiet around it.
- One soft palette. Warm whites, oak and stone-grey upholstery keep the architecture calm.
- Texture over colour. Wool, linen and oak supply depth without adding shades.
- Hidden storage. Built-in storage keeps surfaces clear so the geometry reads clearly.
The same restraint runs through City quiet, the house that shares this palette.
